Is this Black Friday sim racing deal actually good?
Some Black Friday “deals” are real. Others are a price that went up a few weeks earlier, then came back down with a big “was” price next to it. Here is how to tell the difference, plus today’s checked UK new prices to compare against.
How to spot a raised-then-cut price
- Know the price before the sale. Write down what the item costs now, in October or early November. If the Black Friday price is the same as, or higher than, that number, it is not a deal, whatever the “was” price says.
- Treat the “was” price with care. It shows what the shop says it charged, not what most people paid. Compare against the price you saw yourself, or a price history.
- Compare the exact same thing. PlayStation and Xbox versions, Nm ratings, V1 and V2 models, and what comes in a bundle can all change the price. Check the model name and what is in the box.
- Check the brand’s own UK shop and one other UK retailer. If the “deal” price is also the normal price somewhere else, the discount is not real.
- Count the whole cost. Delivery, a missing power supply, clamps or a quick release can turn a cheap headline price into an average one.
UK new prices to compare against
New prices for popular wheelbases, wheel and pedal sets, pedals and wheel rims, from the UK shop we checked and the date we checked it (latest check 27 October 2026). Prices change often, so always confirm with the retailer. Click a product for its used price and the full list of shops and dates.
“From” means the lowest price for that model, for example the cheapest platform version or colour. “Sold out” means the shop still lists a price but was out of stock when we checked.

Is this a good deal?Quick Black Friday tips
- Screenshot today’s price for anything you want, with the date, so you have your own record.
- A used item is only a good buy if it is clearly cheaper than the Black Friday new price, as new comes with a full warranty.
- Check that the base, wheel and pedals work on your platform (PC, PlayStation or Xbox) before you buy.
- Buy from the UK shop or an authorised UK retailer, so returns and warranty claims are simple.
- Pay with a method that has buyer protection, especially for marketplace sellers.
- Do not let a countdown timer rush you. Check the price against the table above first.
